From Resistors to Roadworthy…the team are soldering on!

Radioactive Funky Chickens headed into the current and soldered their way to a roadworthy challenger.

Using cushions, fridge shelves, a trivet, a hob and a shield we created an obstacle course for the robot. This was lots of fun! The robot got lost under the sofa too. The Wii numchuck controller gave great manoeuvrability we just need to find as many challenging surfaces to be prepared for what the judges might throw at us.

Alex, Matt, Rob, and Oliver were soldering and getting to grips mastering the electrical “force”. Oliver was actually testing how many volts a lemon had as Alex was soldering the ultra sonic sensors with resistors to convert the GPIO pins from 5 volt to 3.3. volts.
